Avid liquid software download5/28/2023 ![]() To bring this up to date I must download nearly a gig of upgrades. It was a little offputting to see that they sent me the old version 7.0 build 2xxx. I just received the full version of Liquid 7 pro yesterday and installed it. The Procorder can batch process so I'm not worried about the time for a 30 or 40 gb of files. I have not been able to see if this conversion causes any deterioration in the images or sound. I use the Canopus procoder to convert to the Microsoft DV codec and the stuff is usable in Avid. ![]() I did find a way to fix the stuff for our current productions. We've been selling this stuff for ages (practically since the mini DV format hit the streets with the Sony VX1000) and never had anyone come back to say it isn't usable or readable. The reason I'm concerned is that we have over 3 TB of clips that are sold as stock video and used in our own productions of wilderness and adventure videos. I don't know about the Canopus program you mentioned. It is playable in its native state by Windows media player and just about everthing else I've tried. It is also editable by a raft of low end programs by Matrox etc. ![]() In it's native format the Canopus format is read and editable by Vegas, Premiere and earlier Pinnacle offerings of Studio. So far we know that changing the fourcc code makes it playable in Avid Liquid but unplayable by everything else. We've been having the discussion in the "Avid and Canopus Codec" thread.
